Our Peel and Seal Glassine Envelope Bags are all made from 60gsm glassine paper which has a glossy, smooth finish. Glassine has natural grease-proof qualities but no barrier for moisture. Glassine is made with virgin pine cellulose. We use a hot melt glue application with a silicone release liner which isn’t biodegradable unfortunately but we are working to source alternatives.
Every item in this category is manufactured in the UK at our factory in Suffolk. Replace your single use plastic today because glassine is biodegradable and 100% recyclable. We produce bespoke requirements for different sizes of peel and seal bag you might not see in our stock range.
The paper itself is food grade material however our manufacturing process isn’t certified so we cannot sell as food safe or with any certification for the food industry. It’s unlikely our process will render them unsafe regularly but there might be one or two points in which the paper can become contaminated however low the risk.
